The Greatest Pop Songwriter You've Never Heard of Died Monday

Via NPR, George David Weiss, a man who almost single-handedly defined the immortal pop of the '50s and '60s, songs that we still hear on the radio today, died on Monday.

I had to take time out of my (very, very, very VERY) busy schedule to pay tribute, because he wrote some of my all-time favorite songs (and some of my all-time favorite earworms). Seriously man, check out this list.

Here's my number one favorite from him, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". This version is by Rockapella.

Yeah, yeah. I know. I'm, like, invisible. Seriously still trying to get used to my new schedule, new job, and new life.
