I've laid down the money for my kayaking season pass, and because I renewed early I was given 2 free all-day kayak rental passes (you can only use it if you're with me, I think). The price has gone up just a smidge this year.
Then, because I really, really, really, really need to improve my swimming abilities (which can be described as tread water-dog paddle-deadman's float) if I'm going to stick with this kayaking thing, I signed up for swimming lessons at the YMCA.
Also coming right up: paying my federal taxes (because I don't have any Mommy's Little Tax Write-Offs nor do I own property) and the continued fall-out of avoiding dentists for the past 5 years due to dentist-fear (no teeth pulling, but I have a final chip that needs fixing and then they're going to start digging tartar and plaque out from under my gum line. Gah!).
Oh, and did I mention that I have to buy a bathing suit at some point in the next month? And since I'm planning on lessons and taking advantage of the adult free swims to practice, I'm not planning on buying a cheap suit. Not that I could even if I wanted to. Some us have bewbs that don't allow us to walk into a Target and buy off the rack.
My savings account has already begun to whimper. Come May 1, it's gonna be screaming for mercy.
Not to mention that my calendar is already looking like summer-level busy, only now it's starting at the end of April, thanks to the Y lessons
I think I'm just going to hope like hell that nothing emergency-like will be coming up for the next few months, because that would suck.
